Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Real Estate, Consumption and Public Utilities sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa lost 1.04%.

The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Prio SA (BVMF:PRIO3), which rose 3.58% or 2.31 points to trade at 66.67 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroreconcavo SA (BVMF:RECV3) added 2.70% or 0.33 points to end at 12.55 and SLC Agricola SA (BVMF:SLCE3) was up 2.27% or 0.40 points to 17.98 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Vamos Locacao de Caminhoes, Maquinas e Equipamentos SA (BVMF:VAMO3), which fell 11.22% or 0.77 points to trade at 6.09 at the close. YDUQS Participacoes SA (BVMF:YDUQ3) declined 8.45% or 1.23 points to end at 13.44 and Lojas Renner SA (BVMF:LREN3) was down 8.03% or 1.21 points to 13.80.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 563 to 397 and 46 ended unchanged.

The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 7.04% to 43.20.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.12% or 5.02 to $4,182.32 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.80% or 0.75 to hit $94.89 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 0.89% or 2.60 to trade at $293.20 .

USD/BRL was up 0.78% to 5.03, while EUR/BRL rose 1.16% to 5.63.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 101.99.
