Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Sunday, as in the sectors led shares .

At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index unchanged 0.00% to hit a new 3-months high.

The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were Magnit PJSC (MCX:MGNT), which rose 2.87% or 47.00 points to trade at 1,682.00 at the close. Meanwhile, TATNEFT n.a. V.D. Shashin Pref (MCX:TATN_p) added 2.55% or 16.40 points to end at 659.80 and Gazprom PJSC (MCX:GAZP) was up 2.48% or 2.53 points to 104.35 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were NOVATEK PJSC (MCX:NVTK), which fell 2.00% or 22.20 points to trade at 1,085.80 at the close. T Tekhnologii MKPAO (MCX:T) declined 1.64% or 4.46 points to end at 267.22 and Novolipetsk Steel (MCX:NLMK) was down 0.78% or 0.60 points to 76.42.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 144 to 92 and 17 ended unchanged.

Shares in TATNEFT n.a. V.D. Shashin Pref (MCX:TATN_p) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.55% or 16.40 to 659.80.

The Russian Volatility Index – RVI, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was unchanged 0.00% to 29.97.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.52% or 63.30 to $4,220.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.19% or 0.17 to hit $91.66 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.29% or 0.30 to trade at $104.42 a barrel.
