Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Saturday, as in the sectors led shares .

At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index unchanged 0.00% to hit a new 3-months high.

The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were Magnit PJSC (MCX:MGNT), which rose 1.38% or 22.50 points to trade at 1,657.50 at the close. Meanwhile, United Company Rusal IPJSC (MCX:RUAL) added 1.36% or 0.33 points to end at 24.54 and TATNEFT n.a. V.D. Shashin Pref (MCX:TATN_p) was up 0.89% or 5.70 points to 649.10 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were NOVATEK PJSC (MCX:NVTK), which fell 2.14% or 23.70 points to trade at 1,084.30 at the close. T Tekhnologii MKPAO (MCX:T) declined 1.33% or 3.60 points to end at 268.08 and Novolipetsk Steel (MCX:NLMK) was down 1.12% or 0.86 points to 76.16.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 126 to 104 and 22 ended unchanged.

Shares in TATNEFT n.a. V.D. Shashin Pref (MCX:TATN_p) rose to 52-week highs; up 0.89% or 5.70 to 649.10.

The Russian Volatility Index – RVI, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was unchanged 0.00% to 29.97.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.52% or 63.30 to $4,220.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.19% or 0.17 to hit $91.66 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.29% or 0.30 to trade at $104.42 a barrel.

USD/RUB was up 0.99% to 85.87, while EUR/RUB rose 0.03% to 95.33.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 102.03.
