中国数学家在北京成立 Yau Laboratory Alliance for Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence，推动 AI 融入数学研究。该联盟由菲尔兹奖得主丘成桐牵头，汇集八家机构，目标是建立由 1,000 多名科学家组成的网络，并开发数学专用 AI 模型，用于生成猜想、形式化证明及构建推理过程更易解释的系统。
Leading China’s mathematicians joined forces in Beijing on Sunday to launch an alliance aimed at integrating artificial intelligence into mathematical research.
The Yau Laboratory Alliance for Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence is being spearheaded by Fields medallist Shing-Tung Yau, who warned that China was lagging behind the United States in using AI to advance frontier science.
It will bring together eight leading institutions and aims to create a network of more than 1,000 scientists.
The alliance will focus on developing specialised AI models for mathematics, using the technology to generate conjectures and formalise proofs, and building systems whose reasoning could be more easily interpreted.
