Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , Electronic Parts/Components and Machinery sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted lost 1.84%.

The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Kim Forest Enterprise Co Ltd (TW:6645), which rose 10.00% or 1.30 points to trade at 14.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Ever Ohms Technology Co Ltd (TW:6834) added 10.00% or 14.50 points to end at 159.50 and Zhong Yang Technology Co Ltd (TW:6668) was up 10.00% or 5.50 points to 60.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Pell Bio Med Technology Co Ltd (TW:6949), which fell 9.96% or 4.65 points to trade at 42.05 at the close. Spirox Corp (TW:3055) declined 9.95% or 20.00 points to end at 181.00 and Ta Liang Technology Co Ltd (TW:3167) was down 9.95% or 108.00 points to 977.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 744 to 283 and 95 ended unchanged.

Shares in Ever Ohms Technology Co Ltd (TW:6834) rose to all time highs; gaining 10.00% or 14.50 to 159.50. Shares in Zhong Yang Technology Co Ltd (TW:6668) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 10.00% or 5.50 to 60.50.

Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.29% or 1.21 to $92.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.12% or 1.19 to hit $105.46 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.60% or 25.32 to trade at $4,215.92 a troy ounce.
