Europe considers new quotas and tariffs to stem Chinese imports
欧洲正考虑通过设置配额、征收关税及采取更强硬的贸易措施，遏制中国进口商品。法国贸易部长 Nicolas Forissier 表示，德国与法国重新形成合作，对欧洲未来至关重要；德国本月早些时候转向支持巴黎倡导的更具保护性的对华政策。
“I’m certain that it played a role, and it’s very important that the German and French engine, which is very essential to the future of Europe, starts again – and I think that’s going to be the case,” French Trade Minister Nicolas Forissier said as he arrived at a ministerial meeting in Dublin on Friday.
Earlier this month, Berlin made a dramatic U-turn on its China policy, joining Paris – which has for years backed a more protectionist policy to counter distortions caused by Beijing’s model – in calling for tariffs, quotas and muscular new trade weapons.
