Delek US Holdings (DK), +106% since entry (added March 1, 2026 at $37.51; now $77.33). This is the strategy’s single best performer by that measure - but it’s also the one that calls for the most caution, which is worth saying plainly rather than glossing over. GuruFocus pegs the stock as significantly overvalued, with its $75.46 price (as of October 7) running 230% above the firm’s $22.82 fair-value estimate, and insiders have sold roughly $56.7 million in shares over the past year with no purchases. The 13-analyst consensus target of $67.17 actually sits below where the stock trades today, even after Freedom Broker initiated coverage on October 6 with a Hold and an $86 target. The fundamentals have genuinely improved - Q2 revenue was $4.09 billion, up 47.9% year-over-year, with adjusted EPS of $5.48 against a $2.67 estimate - but a 106% run on a stock most analysts rate as fairly valued or lower is the kind of gain that deserves a second look, not just a victory lap.

HF Sinclair (DINO), +75% since entry (added June 1, 2026 at $70.37; now $122.91). The more straightforwardly bullish case of the three. The stock set a fresh 52-week high near $118 on October 8 and kept climbing, backed by UBS’s Buy rating and $133 target (October 3) and Raymond James’s Strong Buy at $140 (mid-September). Its July quarter beat cleanly - EPS of $5.31 against $4.49 expected - and its next report, October 28, will show whether refining margins held up through this month’s crude spike.

CVR Energy (CVI), +66% since entry (added August 1, 2026 at $35.51; now $58.91). The most mixed signal of the group. The stock hit a fresh 52-week high this month, and both UBS and Mizuho raised their targets in early October - but both kept cautious ratings (Neutral and Underperform, respectively), and the broader Wall Street consensus here is “Reduce,” with an average target of $40.75, well below the current price. Strong momentum, weak conviction: a combination worth watching rather than assuming will resolve upward.

Put together, these three names explain a big chunk of why Energy Elite is up roughly 76% for 2026, beating the S&P 500 Energy index by more than 35 percentage points - the widest margin of any strategy we track. But the spread between DINO’s broadly bullish analyst base and DK’s valuation warnings is a useful reminder of how the model works: it holds positions based on its own fundamental and momentum signals, not on whether Wall Street consensus agrees, which means some of its biggest winners will keep carrying real valuation risk even as they keep compounding.
