China’s youth draw upon Long March spirit to navigate modern uncertainties
在红军长征胜利90周年之际，一些中国年轻人从长征精神中寻求指引，以应对生活与未来的不确定性。中国传媒大学22岁学生 Lyu Leiyiyi 表示，长征精神能帮助年轻人建立更稳定的内心支点；这也与中国借助革命历史凝聚年轻人的努力相交织。
As China marks the 90th anniversary of the Red Army’s victory in the Long March, some young Chinese are looking to the historic journey for guidance as they face uncertainty in their lives and future.
For Lyu Leiyiyi, a 22-year-old student at the Communication University of China, the spirit of the Long March offers a sense of stability at a time when people and the environment around her are changing at a dizzying pace.
“People in their 20s are going through a period of uncertainty,” Lyu said. “The spirit of the Long March can help us build a more stable inner core.”
This expanded perspective eventually intersected with China’s efforts to anchor young citizens in the country’s revolutionary history, such as the Long March.
